This system is fully functional for all dog sitters and dog walkers.
There is also a built-in option to take credit card payments, for both deposits and final payments. It is what many professional dog sitters and dog walkers do.
We normally charge a 5% platform fee on card payments. For example, 5% of the deposit, which is normally 50% of the total booking.
Stripe, the company that processes the cards, also charges its own card-processing fee. That fee goes to Stripe, not to us, and you can see it on Stripe’s pricing page.
The offer
Founding members pay 0% on card payments during the beta, then keep a permanent founder discount. That means that, for now, there is no DoggyDesk fee on a founding member’s card payments.
Only founding members get this. Sitters and walkers who create an account now join as founding members. We will close founding membership once enough sitters and walkers have joined.

- Play around with it. Add your availability, add a booking and get used to how everything works.
- When you are ready to take card payments, sign up with Stripe, the company that processes card payments for you. We guide you through it step by step: see Control your own card payments.
